Health Policy

  • SGRL is committed to the health of employees as a primary objective which will be pursued to at least the standard requirement by law, and will always be given priority before business and operations
  • Management will ensure that health risks associated with every of our operations are analyzed and preventive/ control and risk management measures are put in place as required.
  • Management will ensure that information, instruction and training in health risks and their control is provided to employees.
  • The advice of health professionals will be sought in the development and implementation of health related programs and procedures.
  • All persons on site are required to help maintain a healthy working environment, and to wear personal protective equipment as required.
  • Employees will be medically assessed at pre-employment and yearly at company approved Hospital/Clinics as required to ensure that their medical status permits them to undertake their jobs without undue risk to their health and safety and that of others.
  • Comprehensive medical examinations will be offered on a periodic basis to all employees. Mandatory examinations are provided for specific jobs due to legal requirements or if it is necessary for the safety of the employee or others.
  • Employees will be encouraged to maintain a high level of personal health and will be provided with advice on health promotion.
  • All medical information concerning employees will be kept as confidential and will not be disclosed without the consent of the employee to whom it relates.
